I serve as a sell-side M&A advisor to closely held businesses, typically in the $5M–$100M revenue or enterprise value range, guiding owners through the preparation, positioning, and successful transition of their companies. I act as a lead advisor throughout the process, helping clients navigate critical decisions from early planning through closing.
As a 32-year attorney (with the first twenty years focused in litigation) I bring a disciplined and practical perspective to transactions. From 1994 to 2014, I maintained an undefeated record in civil jury trials, an experience that continues to guide how I approach complex negotiations and high-stakes decisions.
I have served as fractional general counsel to hundreds of companies and led more than 30 strategic and private equity acquisitions, with experience in deals ranging from $5M to over $700M. My practice is focused on lower middle market businesses where thoughtful preparation and hands-on guidance can materially influence outcomes.
I also serve as fractional general counsel to select businesses, providing ongoing strategic, legal, and operational guidance. This work is often closely aligned with long-term exit planning, helping owners build and position their companies for future transactions.
