Licensed to practice in both Colorado and Arizona, Justin has appeared in numerous state, federal and tribal courts.

Justin has had an interest in trial advocacy and the justice system since childhood. His successful track record as a debater had its origins in high school, where he won state championships in speech and debate, mock trial and model United Nations, followed by being ranked among the top college debaters in the nation.

Scoring in the top one percent of the country on the law school entrance exam (LSAT), Justin won the Moot Court interstate regional championship while in law school and received special awards and recognitions for his accomplishments in trial and appellate advocacy. He earned a B.S. in justice studies from Arizona State University in 1991 and graduated from Arizona State University College of Law in 1994 at the top of his class in contract law.

In 1994, Justin began his law career in Phoenix, focusing in personal injury law and insurance defense, subsequently moving to the largest law firm in northern Arizona. There, as one of the top attorneys in the firm, he handled a wide range of cases including defense work for major insurance carriers, personal injury, commercial litigation, domestic relations, criminal law, estate planning, corporate transactions and all areas of litigation. He also served as a judge pro tem for juvenile court proceedings.

In 2001, Justin founded Vaughn Ledbetter PLLC, later The Vaughn Law Offices PLLC, in Arizona, moving the firm to the Denver area in 2011.

A firm believer in supporting charitable and community causes, Justin currently serves as the board chair of the Highlands Ranch Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the board for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado and is on the board of the Douglas County Business Alliance and Hide in Plain Sight, an organization that provides college scholarships to homeless youth. Justin also coaches high school students in speech, debate and mock trial, including state champion high school teams.

“For 23 years, we have been the wave of the future. We don’t lie, cheat, dodge disclosures, cover up land mines. When we do a deal for business owners, we look for honesty and transparency.
